Project: Joseph Beuys: Actions, Vitrines, Environments
Client: Tate Modern
Date: February 2005
Designer: James Goggin
This is surprisingly the first major exhibition of Beuys' work in the UK. Although not a full retrospective, the show documents major works from the later part of his career including ‘the pack’ (seen on the exhibition poster), a number of his vitrines and a great documentary film of his 1974 ‘I Like America and America Likes Me’ performance.
Design work for this show covered poster campaign, printed matter (invites etc.), exhibition guide and exhibition graphic design.
